Rishab is a Foundation Doctor specializing in cardiac surgery, combining extensive clinical experience with a strong background in intellectual property and the patent process. His unique blend of medical and legal expertise allows him to guide AVaTAR MedTech’s innovations through complex regulatory pathways, ensuring that groundbreaking medical devices reach patients safely and efficiently.

At AVaTAR MedTech, Rishab contributes as a part-time Research and Development Scientist, applying his knowledge to support the development of advanced cardiothoracic devices. Alongside his work with AVaTAR, he holds a full-time position at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he currently serves as a Clinical Teaching Fellow and previously worked as a Specialised Foundation Doctor in cardiac surgery.

Rishab has also been deeply involved in professional societies and student organizations. He served as Treasurer for the SCTS INSINC Committee at the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland and is currently the Financial Secretary for the Aspiring Congenital Heart Surgeons Association. His leadership extends to educational and community roles, including positions as Student Ambassador at Hull York Medical School, HYMS Social Prescribing Champion for NHS England, and Community First Responder with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
