A full-day immersive workshop to test, refine, and validate our valve reconstruction technology in an OR-level setting.

AVaTAR MedTech recently hosted a Surgical Hands-On Workshop, bringing together a distinguished group of 10 cardiac surgeons, including senior specialists, chiefs and heads of units, and cardiothoracic surgery residents. The full-morning session took place at the +54 Innovation Park Lab, providing an immersive, operating room–level environment.
The workshop began with an introduction to our devices and surgical methodology, followed by a live demonstration that established the foundation for the day’s activities.
The core of the session focused on hands-on practice. Five fully equipped workstations, each shared by two surgeons, replicated real operating room conditions, including authentic instruments, workflows, and surgical dynamics. Most participants achieved sharp, high-quality aortic valve reconstructions using AVaTAR MedTech’s technique and devices, all within comparable operative times.
Our technology was met with strong enthusiasm. Surgeons provided valuable expert feedback, with several insights directly contributing to making the procedure faster, more intuitive, and easier to adopt in clinical practice.
Feedback was gathered across three key pillars, Devices, Surgical Technique, and Business Aspects, allowing us to refine technical details, strengthen our strategic approach, and identify clear pathways to improve surgeon training, adoption, and our go-to-market plan.
We extend our sincere thanks to Christian Kreutzer, Ignacio Juaneda, Daniel Klinger, Alejandro Jorajuria, Marisol Rodriguez, Jorge Ravazzoli, and Nicolas Ezequiel Marrone for their trust, expertise, and energy throughout the workshop.
The enthusiasm and engagement of all participants continue to motivate the entire AVaTAR MedTech team as we work to transform the future of heart valve reconstruction for both pediatric and adult patients.
